《GB/T 12289-1990水果、蔬菜及制品苯甲酸含量的测定》由TC64（全国食品工业标准化技术委员会）归口，主管部门为国家标准化管理委员会。
本标准规定了水果、蔬菜及制品中苯甲酸含量的测定方法。分光光度法适用于苯甲酸含量低于200mg/L或kg产品的测定。分子吸收分光光度法适用于测定苯甲酸含量超过200mg/L或kg的产品，重点包括水果汁、番茄酱制品，以及用醋或乳酸保存的产品。分光光度法不适用于有对氯苯甲酸及有大量肉桂酸存在的产品。

Scope

This standard specifies the method for the determination of benzoic acid content in fruits, vegetables and their products. Spectrophotometry is suitable for the determination of benzoic acid content below 200mg/L or kg products. Molecular absorption spectrophotometry is suitable for the determination of products with benzoic acid content exceeding 200 mg/L or kg, mainly including fruit juices, tomato sauce products, and products preserved with vinegar or lactic acid. Spectrophotometry is not suitable for products containing p-chlorobenzoic acid and large amounts of cinnamic acid.
