Scope

This standard specifies the terms and definitions, tolerances, requirements, inspection, marking and packaging of smooth limit gauges. This standard applies to smooth limit gauges with basic dimensions of holes and shafts up to 500mm and tolerance grades IT6 to IT16. The smooth limit gauges specified in this standard (hereinafter referred to as "gauge") are made to test the basic dimensions of holes and shafts specified in GB/T 1800.1-1997 to GB/T 1800.4-1999 "Limits and Fits".
