《GB/T 2407-2008塑料硬质塑料小试样与炽热棒接触时燃烧特性的测定》由TC15（全国塑料标准化技术委员会）归口，TC15SC4（全国塑料标准化技术委员会通用方法和产品分会）执行，主管部门为中国石油和化学工业联合会。
本标准规定了硬质塑料小试样同炽热棒接触时燃烧性能的测定方法。
本标准代替GB/T 2407-1980《塑料燃烧性能试验方法炽热棒法》，与GB/T 2407-1980相比主要技术内容改变如下：
――更改了标准名称、增加了前言；
――增加了原理，试验意义章；
――更改了试样标线及结果的判定。

Scope

This standard specifies the method for the determination of the combustion performance of a small hard plastic sample when it is in contact with a red-hot rod.
