1 Scope

This standard specifies liquid chromatography tandem mass spectrometry of nonylphenol in cosmetics.

This standard applies to the determination of nonylphenol in such cosmetics as cream, loose powder, waters and lipstick.

For the purpose of this standard, the detection limit and quantitation limit of nonylphenol are 0.1 mg/kg and 0.2 mg/kg respectively.

3 Principle

Extract nonylphenol in cosmetics with methyl alcohol - methylene chloride mixed solution, purify the extracting solution by centrifugation and solid-phase extraction column, determine by liquid chromatography tandem mass spectrometry and quantify by internal standard method.
