《GB/T 2970-2004厚钢板超声波检验方法》由TC183（全国钢标准化技术委员会）归口，TC183SC19（全国钢标准化技术委员会钢产品无损检测分会）执行，主管部门为中国钢铁工业协会。
本标准规定了厚钢板超声波检验对比试样、检验仪器和设备、检验条件与方法、缺陷的测定与评定、钢板的质量分级、检验报告等内容。本标准适用于厚度不小于6mm的锅炉、压力容器、桥梁、建筑、造船、钢结构、管线、模具等用途钢板的超声波检验。奥氏体不锈钢板也可参照本标准。

This standard specifies the contents for testing thicker steel plate-ultrasonic inspection: the contrast samples, inspection instrument, equipments condition for surveys and method, defect measurement and evaluation, steel plate quality grade as well as survey report.
This standard is applicable to ultrasonic inspection for all kinds of steel plate’s usage, furnace no thicker than 6 mm, pressure vessel, bridge, construction, shipbuilding, steel structure, pipeline and mould, etc.
