Scope
This document specifies the voltage markings and materials, product naming, conductors, insulation, cable core, inner lining and filler, metal layers, outer sheath, inspection rules, markings, labels and accompanying documents, packaging, transportation and storage requirements for aluminum alloy core extruded insulated power cables with rated voltages of 1kV (Um=1.2kV) and 3kV (Um=3.6kV), and describes the corresponding test methods. This document applies to 1kV (Um=1.2kV) and 3kV (Um=3.6kV) aluminum alloy core extruded insulated power cables with rated voltages of 1kV (Um=1.2kV) and 3kV (Um=3.6kV) that are fixedly installed in distribution networks or industrial installations. This document does not apply to cables under special installation and operating conditions, such as overhead cables, mining industry cables, nuclear power plants (within and near containment structures), and underwater or marine cables.
