Scope

This standard specifies the method, procedure and requirements for the rapid determination of the critical pitting temperature of stainless steel with a single sample. This standard applies to the determination of the critical pitting temperature of stainless steel (austenite, ferrite/austenite, ferrite) under constant potential control.
