GB/T 32946-2016 Interpretation of the Standard

This standard specifies the HPLC method for the determination of proline in honey, and is applicable to the determination of proline in honey.

Background of Standard Formulation

GB/T 32946-2016 "High Performance Liquid Chromatography Method for the Determination of Proline in Honey" was proposed by the All-China Federation of Supply and Marketing Cooperatives and is under the jurisdiction of the National Bee Products Standardization Working Group. The drafting units of the standard include the Bee Research Institute of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences, the Bee Products Quality Supervision, Inspection and Testing Center of the Ministry of Agriculture (Beijing) and the Chinese Beekeeping Society.

Implementation suggestions

1. Sample preparation and storage:

  • Samples need to be stored at 4°C to avoid deterioration.

2. Extraction steps:

  • Weigh 1g of sample, accurate to 0.001g.
  • Add boric acid buffer to dissolve and then ultrasonically extract for 10 minutes.
  • Filter and derivatize.

3. Derivatization and detection:

  • Use NBD-F solution for pre-column derivatization, and the reaction time is 10 minutes.
  • The excitation wavelength of the fluorescence detector is 470nm, and the emission wavelength is 530nm.
  • The standard working curve should cover the range of 0.625mg/L to 20.00mg/L.
