The National Standard of the People's Republic of China GB/T 34807—2017 "General Technical Specifications for Inspection and Testing of Geotechnical Engineering Instruments and Equipment" specifies the classification, inspection and testing content and requirements, as well as test conditions and methods of geotechnical engineering instruments and equipment. This standard applies to dam monitoring instruments (excluding optical instruments), geotechnical test instruments and rock test instruments, etc.

Appearance inspection
Geotechnical engineering instruments The whole structure shall not be loose or deformed, and there shall be no other defects that affect the use. The surface shall be smooth and flat, and the coating and electroplating layer shall be firm, uniform and bright, and there shall be no peeling or rust.
Environmental adaptability test
Including temperature and humidity tests. According to the standard requirements, the working and storage environment conditions of different instruments are different (as shown in Table 2).
