Introduction

Analysis of the core content of the standard

GB/T 39164-2020 standard specifies the technical requirements for insulation boards for plastic and rubber injection molds, mainly including:

  • New C-type insulation board structure (common type in China)
  • Three installation methods are clarified to correspond to different working temperature ranges
  • The material specification is modified to phenolic resin bakelite

Implementation suggestions

Selection guide

  • 70~90℃ working condition: only install on the movable/fixed mold base plate
  • >90℃ working condition: need to increase the outer side insulation of the template
  • Non-standard molds give priority to C type custom size

Installation specifications

Fix with M5 hexagon socket countersunk screws, leave 1~3mm of air on one side (see Figure 6)
