Scope
This standard specifies a general method for converting inorganic nitrogen compounds into ammonium salts and using Nessler's reagent for visual colorimetric determination. This standard applies to the determination of the total amount of trace inorganic nitrogen compounds (including nitrate, nitrite and ammonium salt) in chemical reagents. The detection range is 0.05-0.8 μg/mL (calculated as N).
