Interpretation of the core content of the standard

GB7300.402-2020, as an important part of the series of standards for feed additive enzyme preparations, puts forward systematic specifications for the production and application of phytase products. This standard applies to feed phytase produced by fermentation of microorganisms such as Aspergillus niger and Aspergillus oryzae, and explicitly excludes special products for aquatic products.

Critical Control Points of Production Process

Taking the Pichia pastoris fermentation process as an example, special attention should be paid to:

  1. The pH value of the fermentation process is controlled in the range of 4.0-6.0
  2. The moisture content of solid dosage forms is ≤10%
  3. The liquid product needs to be tested for floccules

Key Points for Implementation of Quality Inspection

The enterprise should establish a three-level inspection system:

  • Factory inspection: Each batch must be inspected for sensory, enzyme activity and moisture
  • Type inspection: full-item inspection at least once every six months
  • Abnormal situation re-inspection: when the process is changed or production is resumed after 3 months of suspension

Recommendations for the implementation of the standard

1. Warehousing management: liquid dosage forms must be strictly controlled within the 6-month shelf life and avoid direct sunlight

2. Transportation protection: shockproof packaging is recommended, and the ambient temperature should not exceed 30°C

3. Labeling: the source of the strain and the applicable animal species must be indicated

Compared with the earlier version, the 2020 version of the standard has the following major updates:

  • Added the limit requirement for deoxynivalenol
  • Clarified the conversion rules for the measurement units of liquid dosage forms
  • Strengthen the requirements for microbial index testing
