1. Standard background and update description

GB/T 13093-2023 "Determination of total bacterial count in feed" is an important update of the national standard, replacing the previous GB/T13093-2006 version. This standard mainly optimizes the method for determining the total bacterial count in compound feed, concentrated feed, concentrate supplements and feed raw materials of animal and plant origin.

3. Detailed explanation of experimental steps

Preparation of sample solution:Use aseptic operation to weigh 25g of sample, add it to 225mL of sterile phosphate buffer solution or physiological saline, and evenly process it with a slapping homogenizer or homogenizing bag to make a 1:10 sample solution.

Dilution steps:Use the 10-fold incremental dilution method, and replace the sterile pipette or pipette tip at each step. Select 2-3 appropriate dilutions based on the expected contamination situation, and perform a blank control.

Culture conditions:After pouring the culture medium, invert the plate and culture it in a 36±1℃ constant temperature incubator for 48±2 hours to form colonies.
