Standard formulation background and technology evolution analysis

Background:Metal powder fluidity is an important indicator for evaluating its process performance and is widely used in powder metallurgy, 3D printing and other fields. Since its first release in 1979, the GB/T1482 standard has undergone three revisions and gradually aligned with international standards.

Technology evolution:From analog measurement to digital recording, from single aperture to multi-dimensional calibration, the standard has been continuously optimized to meet the needs of high-precision, mass production. The new version of the standard introduces stricter funnel calibration requirements and deviation control to ensure data comparability and consistency.

Instruments and operating specifications

  • Standard funnel:Made of non-magnetic, corrosion-resistant material, aperture D=2.50 mm, roughness Ra≤0.4μm.
  • Balance:Accurate to ±0.05g, to ensure the accuracy of powder weighing.
  • Stopwatch:Accurate to ±0.1s, to record the powder flow time.
  • Standard corundum:Used for funnel calibration, required to be dried before use.
