Scope

This standard specifies the method for the preparation of bulk samples of metals and alloys for electron probe analysis. It is suitable for standard samples and samples used in electronic probe or scanning electron microscope quantitative analysis. This standard does not include samples with a particle size of less than 5 μm or a thickness of less than 4 μm.
