Scope

This standard specifies the method for the determination of 1-octene and tetrahydrofuran in food simulants. This standard applies to the determination of 1-octene and tetrahydrofuran in water, 3% (mass concentration) acetic acid solution, 10% (volume fraction) ethanol solution and other water-based food simulants and olive oil. The lower limits of determination of 1-octene and THF in water-based food simulants are 2.0 mg/L and 7.0 mg/L, respectively, and the lower limits of determination of 1-octene and THF in olive oil are 2.0 mg/kg and 7.0 mg/L, respectively. mg/kg.
