Scope
The basic items stipulated in this standard are intended to provide services to ergonomists, helping them to measure the population and use the relevant knowledge to design human working and living places. These items are not intended as guidelines for evaluating anthropometric methods, but provide ergonomics specialists and designers with information on the anatomical and anthropometric basis and measurement principles needed to solve design tasks. This standard can be used together with relevant national or international standards or regulations to ensure the consistency of population determination. This standard needs to be supplemented with some specific measurement items in various occasions.
