Scope

This procedure applies to withstand voltage testers with a maximum output voltage not higher than 15 kV (hereinafter referred to as withstand voltage testers), including the first calibration of AC (power frequency), DC and AC-DC withstand voltage testers with digital display and pointer indication. Subsequent calibration and in-use inspection. It is also suitable for the verification of the withstand voltage part of comprehensive safety performance testers such as insulation withstand voltage testers and leakage withstand voltage testers. This procedure does not apply to the verification of pulse voltage or audio voltage output testers, spark machines for wires and cables, and electromagnetic compatibility high-voltage test equipment.
