Scope

This standard specifies the qualitative PCR detection method for genetically modified plant components in food. This standard is applicable to the qualitative PCR detection of genetically modified soybeans (Roundup Ready), corn (176, Bt11, Mon810, T14/T25, GA21, CBH351), tomatoes (1345-4, 351N, 5345, 8338, FLAVR SAVR, BioScien, 8805R, Zeneca), potatoes (NewLeaf Y, NewLeaf Plus, NewLeaf), rice (Bt63), and wheat components in semi-finished and finished foods produced with soybeans, corn, tomatoes, potatoes, rice, wheat and other agricultural products and their processed products as raw materials. The semi-finished and finished foods to which this standard applies do not include condiments and edible oils and fats. This standard can detect 0.1% genetically modified components in foods produced with soybeans, corn, tomatoes, potatoes, rice, and wheat as the main raw materials.
