Scope

This standard specifies the terms and definitions, composition and classification, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation and storage of inductively coupled plasma atomic emission spectrometer. This standard applies to inductively coupled plasma atomic emission spectrometers (hereinafter referred to as "instruments") that use inductively coupled plasma as an excitation source combined with atomic emission spectrometry for qualitative and quantitative analysis of elements.
