Scope

This standard specifies the high performance liquid chromatography method for the determination of diphenyl carbonate in food simulants. This standard is applicable to the determination of diphenyl carbonate in water, 3% (mass concentration) acetic acid solution, 10% (volume fraction) ethanol solution and other water-based food simulants, 95% ethanol aqueous solution and olive oil. The lower limit of determination of diphenyl carbonate in water-based food simulants and 95% (volume fraction) ethanol is 0.050 mg/L, and the lower limit of determination of diphenyl carbonate in olive oil is 0.050 mg/kg.
