本标准代替GB/T 4789.8-2003《食品卫生微生物学检验　小肠结肠炎耶尔森氏菌检验》。
本标准规定了食品中小肠结肠炎耶尔森氏菌的检验方法。
本标准适用于食品和食源性疾病样品中小肠结肠炎耶尔森氏菌的检验。
本标准与GB/T 4789.8-2003相比主要修改如下：
―――操作步骤6.1中４ ℃冰箱冷增菌改为26℃±1℃，48h~72h；
―――操作步骤6.7生化鉴定增加了：AP120E和VITEK GNI+；
―――增加了附录A“培养基和试剂”。
