Scope

This standard specifies a method for determining the trans fatty acid content in animal and vegetable oils and fats by gas chromatography. This standard is applicable to the determination of trans fatty acid content in animal and vegetable oils and fats. The detection limit of this method: C18:1-9t is 2.0 mg/kg, C18:1-11t is 0.8 mg/kg, C18:2-9t, 12t is 3.6 mg/kg, C22:1-13t is 4 .lmg/kg.
