Interpretation of GB/T14698—2017 Standard for Microscopic Examination of Feed Ingredients

Test items Method requirements Technical points
Sample preparation Including sampling, pretreatment and sample dispersion Standard sieves are required for grading. If necessary, petroleum ether degreasing or acetone dissolution is used
Microscopic examination Combination of stereo microscope and biological microscope The magnification range is 7~500 times, suitable for the observation of samples of different particle sizes
Identification test Including chemical reaction tests such as triketone test and iodine test Determine the type of ingredients through reagent reaction, such as starch, protein, minerals, etc.

GB/T14698—2017Compared with GB/T14698—2002, the main changes include:

  • Deleted the relevant clauses of compound feed
  • Added the petroleum ether defatting treatment method (7.2.3)
  • Optimized the standard text structure to make it clearer and easier to understand
