本标准代替GB/T 5514-1985 《粮食、油料检验　淀粉测定法》。
本标准规定了粮食、油料中淀粉含量测定的有关术语和定义、原理、试剂和材料、仪器设备、操作步骤、结果计算和重复性。
本标准适用于粮食、油料中淀粉含量的测定。
本标准与GB/T 5514-1985 相比主要变化如下：
———将标准名称由《粮食、油料检验　淀粉测定法》修改为《粮油检验　粮食、油料中淀粉含量测定》；　
———要求样品的粉碎粒度全部过孔径０．４５ｍｍ 筛；
———要求实验用水应符合ＧＢ／Ｔ６６８２中三级水的要求；
———酸处理的水解温度改为沸水浴回流１ｈ；
———修改试样称量精度；
———使用试剂淀粉酶替代自制淀粉酶；
———修改了对重复性的要求。
